Wormholes is a LD48 project in which the player controls a spaceship through levels procedurally generated from audio data.
The theme for this particular competition was “10 seconds”. The game starts by recording 10 seconds of audio through the player’s microphone input, and generates all levels from the audio data. The recorded audio is also played over the soundtrack of the game, which is made of 10 seconds loops.
Wormholes ranked #7 for innovation and #17 for sound out of 1437 entries!
You can play a revamped version of the game in your browser, or download the original version (made in 48hrs) from the game’s page on the Ludum Dare website.
